Area of a Triangle

The area of a triangle measures the space inside it. Think of it as how much surface the triangle covers. To find it, you usually take the base (one side) and the height (the perpendicular distance from that base to the opposite vertex). The formula is half the product of the base and height: Area = ½ × base × height. This calculation works because a triangle is essentially half of a rectangle when divided diagonally. Knowing the area helps in understanding the size of the triangle relative to other shapes or in practical applications like land measurement or construction.
