
Archimedes (leverage principles)
Archimedes’ leverage principle involves using a lever to amplify effort and move heavier objects with less force. Essentially, a lever pivots on a fixed point (fulcrum), allowing a small input force applied at one end to generate a larger output force at the other. The lever's effectiveness depends on the relative distances from the fulcrum to where force is applied and where the load is. By increasing the distance from the fulcrum to the effort, you reduce the necessary force to lift or move an object, making tasks easier through mechanical advantage.
