Archean Eon
The Archean Eon, lasting from about 4.0 to 2.5 billion years ago, is a period in Earth's history marked by the formation of the Earth's crust and the emergence of the earliest known continents. During this time, the planet’s surface was often molten and gradually cooled, allowing for the development of stable land masses. It’s also when the first simple life forms, like bacteria, appeared in Earth's oceans. The Archean eon set the stage for the development of more complex life and the continued evolution of Earth's geology.
