Ararat to Russian border
Mount Ararat is a prominent volcanic peak located in eastern Turkey, near the border with Armenia and Azerbaijan. It stands approximately 5,137 meters (16,854 feet) high and is culturally significant, especially to Armenians, who associate it with biblical traditions. Geographically, Ararat lies just south of the Russian border regions of the Caucasus, notably close to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. While Ararat itself is within Turkey, its proximity to the Russian Caucasus area makes it a notable landmark in the region's geography and geopolitics, symbolizing historical connections and territorial boundaries in the South Caucasus.
