Arachnid Allergy

Arachnid allergy refers to an allergic reaction that occurs when a person is exposed to certain substances produced by arachnids, such as spiders, scorpions, or ticks. These reactions can be triggered by bites, stings, or contact with saliva, waste, or allergens found in arachnid habitats. Symptoms may include itching, swelling, redness, or more severe reactions like difficulty breathing. This allergy is relatively rare, but individuals with it need to be cautious in areas where these creatures are found. Treatment often includes antihistamines to alleviate symptoms and, in severe cases, emergency medical intervention may be necessary.
