Arabic philosophy
Arabic philosophy refers to the rich intellectual tradition developed by Muslim scholars from the 8th to the 14th centuries, blending Greek philosophy with Islamic theology, science, and culture. Thinkers like Al-Farabi, Avicenna (Ibn Sina), and Averroes (Ibn Rushd) explored questions about existence, knowledge, ethics, and the nature of God, often translating and expanding upon Greek works. Their efforts helped preserve classical learning and laid foundations for medieval European thought. Arabic philosophy combined rational inquiry with spiritual insight, emphasizing reason as a means to understand divine principles and the universe.
