Arab uprisings
The Arab uprisings, also called the Arab Spring, were a series of protests and revolutions across several Middle Eastern and North African countries starting around 2010. People demanded political change, greater freedoms, and economic opportunities, fueled by frustrations with oppressive governments, corruption, and unemployment. While some regimes fell and reforms occurred, others experienced violence or ongoing instability. The uprisings highlighted citizens' desire for democracy and social justice, reshaping political landscapes but also leading to complex conflicts in the region.
