Arab Higher Committee
The Arab Higher Committee was a political organization formed in the early 20th century to represent Arab interests in Palestine. Established in 1936, it aimed to coordinate Arab opposition to increasing Jewish immigration and land purchases, advocating for Arab independence and self-rule. The committee included prominent Arab leaders and served as a unifying body for Arab political efforts during the British Mandate period. Despite facing internal disagreements and external pressures, it played a key role in shaping Arab resistance and nationalist movements in Palestine.
