Aqueous Humor Dynamics

Aqueous humor dynamics involve the production, flow, and drainage of a clear fluid called aqueous humor within the eye. It is produced by a structure called the ciliary body, flows through the pupil into the front part of the eye (the anterior chamber), and exits mainly through the trabecular meshwork into drainage channels. This process helps maintain the eye’s shape, supplies nutrients, and removes waste. Proper balance in this system keeps the pressure inside the eye stable; disruptions can lead to eye conditions like glaucoma, which can cause vision loss if untreated.
