Apremilast

Apremilast is a medication used to treat certain inflammatory conditions, such as psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It works by targeting and reducing specific substances in the body that cause inflammation and immune system overactivity. By doing so, it helps improve skin lesions, reduce joint pain, and decrease swelling. Apremilast is taken orally, usually in tablet form, and is typically prescribed when other treatments haven't been effective or aren't suitable. It’s generally well-tolerated, with common side effects including gastrointestinal symptoms like diarrhea or nausea.
