Appeals Court

An Appeals Court, also known as an appellate court, is a higher court that reviews the decisions made by lower courts. When a party in a legal case believes the lower court made an error, they can appeal to this court. The Appeals Court examines the trial's legal aspects, such as procedure and evidence, rather than re-evaluating all the facts. Its role is to ensure that the law was applied correctly and that the rights of the parties were upheld. The Appeals Court can uphold, reverse, or modify the lower court's decision, or sometimes send the case back for further proceedings.
