Apollinarianism
Apollinarianism is an early Christian heresy that proposed Jesus Christ was divine but lacked a complete human mind or soul. According to this view, Jesus had a human body but only the divine Logos (word) replaced his human mind, making him not fully human in the traditional sense. This idea aimed to emphasize Jesus' divine nature but was later rejected because it undermined the full humanity of Jesus, which is essential for understanding his role in salvation. The doctrine was condemned by the early church for not aligning with orthodox Christian teachings about Jesus being both fully divine and fully human.
