Apoda

Apoda, also known as caecilians, are a group of limbless, elongated amphibians resembling worms or snakes. They belong to the order Gymnophiona and are primarily subterranean or aquatic, found in tropical regions worldwide. Apoda vary in size from a few centimeters to over a meter long. They have smooth, slimy skin, often with ring-like segments, and possess a specialized skull for burrowing. These creatures mainly feed on invertebrates such as insects and worms. Due to their secretive lifestyle, they are less well-known than other amphibians like frogs and salamanders.
