APK files

APK files, or Android Package Kits, are files used to install applications on Android devices. They contain all the necessary components of an app, including code, resources, assets, and manifest files. When you download an app from the Google Play Store, it automatically installs the corresponding APK file. Users can also manually install APKs from other sources, but this requires enabling special settings on their devices for security reasons. Essentially, APK files are the building blocks for Android applications, allowing users to run software on their smartphones and tablets.
