APD Arrays

APD (Avalanche Photodiode) arrays are advanced light sensors composed of multiple tiny photodiodes. They detect very faint light signals by converting incoming photons into electrical current, similar to how a camera sensor captures images. Each element in the array can function independently, allowing for high sensitivity, fast response, and spatial resolution—meaning they can determine where light hits within the array. APD arrays are used in applications like medical imaging, LIDAR, and optical communications, providing precise, high-speed detection of light signals even in low-light conditions.
