AOS for Special Immigrant Juveniles

AOS, or Adjustment of Status, for Special Immigrant Juveniles (SIJs) allows certain minors who are in the U.S. under special protections to apply for permanent residency (a green card). SIJs are minors legally recognized as unable to reunite with their parents due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Through AOS, they can transition from temporary protected status to lawful permanent residents, enabling them to stay, work, and eventually apply for citizenship if eligible. This process helps ensure vulnerable young people can achieve stability and integrate fully into American society.
