Anura

Anura is an order of amphibians that includes frogs and toads. These creatures are characterized by their jumping abilities, smooth or warty skin, and lack of tails in adulthood. Anurans typically have strong hind legs for hopping, a short body, and a high metabolic rate, which requires them to stay near water sources for breeding and moisture. They undergo a complete metamorphosis, starting as eggs, developing into tadpoles, and then transforming into adult frogs or toads. Anurans play vital roles in ecosystems as both predators of insects and prey for larger animals.
