Antiochus III the Great
Antiochus III the Great was a prominent Hellenistic king of the Seleucid Empire (around 222–187 BCE). He expanded his empire through military campaigns, gaining control over regions like Asia Minor and parts of the Middle East. Known for his efforts to reestablish the empire's power and influence, Antiochus attempted to unify his territories and promote Greek culture. His reign was marked by both military successes and challenges, including conflicts with Rome and Egypt. Ultimately, his ambitions led to decline after defeat by the Romans, but he is remembered as a skilled and ambitious ruler who sought to restore the grandeur of the Seleucid Empire.
