Antilock braking system (ABS)

An Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is a safety feature in vehicles that prevents wheels from locking up during hard braking. When you brake suddenly, ABS automatically pulses the brakes to maintain traction and steering control, reducing the risk of skidding. This system detects when a wheel is about to lock and releases the brake pressure briefly, then reapplies it, allowing you to stop efficiently without losing control. ABS enhances safety by helping drivers maintain steering ability especially on slippery or uneven surfaces.
