Anticommunism

Anticommunism is the opposition to communist ideologies and governments, which advocate for collective ownership of resources and a classless society. It developed during the 20th century, especially during the Cold War, as many countries, particularly the United States, viewed communism as a threat to political freedom, economic stability, and individual rights. Anticommunists often opposed the spread of communist influence, viewing it as undermining democracy and capitalism. The movement included political activists, governments, and citizens who promoted free markets, private property, and political liberties as alternatives to communist systems.
