Anti-venom Production

Anti-venom production involves collecting venom from a toxic snake and injecting small, controlled amounts into a healthy animal, often a horse or goat. The animal’s immune system responds by producing antibodies against the venom. After several weeks, blood is drawn from the animal, and the antibodies are extracted and purified. These antibodies, now anti-venom, can be used as a treatment to neutralize snake venom in bite victims. This process creates specialized medicine that saves lives by counteracting the effects of venom quickly and effectively.
