Anti-Qing sentiment

Anti-Qing sentiment refers to hostility or opposition toward the Qing Dynasty, which ruled China from 1644 to 1912. This sentiment arose among Han Chinese and other groups who resented Qing rule because it was established by the Manchu, a foreign minority. Many saw the Qing as oppressive or illegitimate rulers that suppressed Han culture and interests. This hostility fueled movements aimed at restoring Han-led sovereignty and resisting Qing influence, ultimately contributing to political unrest, revolution, and the end of imperial rule in China.
