Anti-linguistic movements
Anti-linguistic movements are efforts aimed at challenging, altering, or resisting dominant language norms, policies, or practices. They often emerge in response to concerns about language suppression, cultural hegemony, or the misuse of language to reinforce power structures. These movements seek to preserve linguistic diversity, promote alternative language forms, or criticize language manipulation in politics, media, or education. Essentially, they oppose the ways language is used to control or marginalize groups and advocate for more inclusive, equitable ways of communicating.
