anti-foundationalism

Anti-foundationalism is a philosophical view that questions the idea of forming absolute, indubitable foundations for knowledge or truth. Instead of believing that some core beliefs or principles are self-evident or universally certain, anti-foundationalists argue that our beliefs are interconnected, justified within a network of ideas, or culturally and historically situated. This perspective challenges the notion that there is a single, ultimate starting point for understanding everything, emphasizing instead the importance of context, ongoing inquiry, and the idea that our beliefs are justified through their relations to other beliefs rather than by an unassailable foundation.
