Anti-dumping Investigations

Anti-dumping investigations are official processes by which a country examines whether imported goods are being sold in its market at unfairly low prices, often below production costs, to gain an unfair market advantage. If evidence shows dumping occurs and it harms local industries, customs authorities may impose additional taxes (antidumping duties) on those imports to level the playing field. This helps protect domestic producers from unfair competition while ensuring fair trade practices.
