Anthony Woodville

Anthony Woodville was a prominent 15th-century English nobleman, writer, and diplomat. As the Earl Rivers, he was closely associated with King Edward IV and served as a trusted advisor. Woodville was also known for his scholarly work, including translating and commissioning books, which contributed to the cultural and political life of his time. He played significant roles in diplomatic missions and domestic politics during the Wars of the Roses. His life ended tragically when he was executed in 1483 during the turbulent period of England’s royal conflicts.
