Anthony Gregorc

Anthony Gregorc is a psychologist known for developing a model of cognitive styles that describe how people learn and process information. His theory identifies two key perceptual qualities—"Concrete" versus "Abstract"—and two how-we-process traits—"Sequential" versus "Global." Combining these, he created four learning styles: Concrete Sequential, Abstract Sequential, Abstract Random, and Concrete Random. This framework helps educators and trainers understand individual differences in thinking and learning, allowing for more personalized teaching methods that align with each person's natural cognitive preferences.
