Antares (Lunar Module)

Antares was the Lunar Module used during NASA's Apollo 14 mission to the Moon in 1971. It was a spacecraft designed specifically to land on the lunar surface and transport astronauts from the command module orbiting above. The lunar module had two stages: a descent stage for landing and a separate ascent stage for returning the astronauts to orbit. It provided life support, navigation, and safety systems necessary for lunar exploration. Antares played a crucial role in helping astronauts Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell conduct scientific experiments and explore the Moon's surface during their mission.
