Anomalous Hall Effect
The Anomalous Hall Effect (AHE) is a phenomenon where an electric current in a magnetic material creates a voltage perpendicular to both the current and the magnetization, even without an external magnetic field. Unlike the regular Hall Effect, which is caused by magnetic fields deflecting moving charges, AHE arises from the material's intrinsic magnetic properties and the way electrons interact with its atomic structure, especially due to spin-orbit coupling. This effect provides insights into the magnetic and electronic behaviors of materials, and is important in developing advanced electronic devices like spintronics.
