Anne Beaufort
Anne Beaufort (c. 1404-1449) was an English noblewoman and a significant historical figure during the late medieval period. She was the daughter of John Beaufort, the Duke of Somerset, and played a role in the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne. Anne married Richard Neville, the 5th Earl of Salisbury, aligning her family with powerful allies. Their children, particularly her daughter Cecily and son Richard Neville, became influential figures in the conflict. Anne's lineage linked her to both the Lancastrians and Yorkists, illustrating the intricate web of medieval politics.
