Annapolis Conference

The Annapolis Conference, held in 2007, was a meeting involving international stakeholders, primarily from the United States, Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and Arab countries, aimed at reviving the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Its goal was to encourage negotiations toward a two-state solution—creating an independent Palestine alongside Israel—by addressing core issues like borders, refugees, and security. While it did not result in immediate agreements, the conference marked a renewed international effort to facilitate dialogue and lay groundwork for future negotiations to achieve lasting peace in the region.
