
Anna (C. N. Annadurai)
C. N. Annadurai, known as Anna, was a prominent Indian politician and writer from Tamil Nadu. He played a key role in advocating for Tamil language and culture, and was a leader of the Dravidian movement, emphasizing social equality and linguistic pride. As a founder of the political party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), he worked to improve education and oppose caste discrimination. Annadurai was also the first non-Congress Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, serving from 1967 until his death in 1969. His leadership significantly impacted Tamil politics, language rights, and social reform.
