
Ani Fortress
Ani Fortress is an ancient, well-preserved medieval fortress located in present-day Turkey near the border with Armenia. It was built in the 10th and 11th centuries by the Armenians to protect against invasions and control trade routes. The fortress is notable for its impressive stone walls, towers, and complex architecture, which reflect advanced engineering for its time.
