Anglo-Israelism

Anglo-Israelism is a belief that the people of the United Kingdom and its descendants, especially those of British and related European origins, are descended from the ancient ten lost tribes of Israel. Proponents interpret historical, biblical, and genealogical evidence to support this idea, often claiming that their national identity reflects Israelite heritage. This theory has been used politically and religiously to promote ideas of divine favor or special destiny for these nations. However, it is widely regarded by scholars and theologians as a myth lacking credible historical and biblical support.
