Angioscopy
Angioscopy is a medical procedure that uses a small, flexible camera called an angioscope to directly view the inside of blood vessels, especially arteries. This allows doctors to examine and assess the health of the vessel walls, detect blockages, or areas of plaque buildup. The procedure involves inserting the tiny camera through a blood vessel, often via the groin or arm, and guiding it to the area of concern. Angioscopy provides detailed, real-time images that help in diagnosing and planning treatment for cardiovascular conditions, enabling more precise interventions like stent placement or removal of blockages.
