Andrew the Apostle
Andrew the Apostle was one of Jesus’ twelve main followers and the brother of Simon Peter. Originally a fisherman, he is known for being one of the first to follow Jesus and for bringing his brother Peter to meet Him. Andrew is recognized for his humility and eagerness to share the Good News, often acting as a mediator and a witness. After Jesus’ death and resurrection, Andrew is believed to have spread Christianity to parts of Greece and Eastern Europe. He is honored as a saint in many Christian traditions and is often depicted holding a cross or fishing net.
