Andrew Jackson's policies

Andrew Jackson's policies focused on strengthening the presidency and promoting what he called "the common man." He opposed the Second Bank of the United States, believing it favored wealthy elites over ordinary citizens, and he vetoed its renewal. Jackson also enforced the Indian Removal Act, relocating Native tribes west of the Mississippi, which caused suffering for many. Additionally, he supported westward expansion and increased voting rights for white men, removing property requirements. His approach emphasized populism and executive power, but also led to controversy and hardship for marginalized groups.
