Andrew Goodman

Andrew Goodman was an American civil rights activist born in 1943 who dedicated his life to fighting racial inequality. In 1964, at age 20, he volunteered to support efforts to register Black voters in Mississippi during the Civil Rights Movement. Tragically, he was kidnapped and murdered by members of the Ku Klux Klan, along with fellow activists James Chaney and Michael Schwerner. Their deaths drew national attention and helped to galvanize the movement for racial justice. Goodman is remembered as a symbol of courage and sacrifice in the ongoing struggle for equality and human rights.
