Andrew Fastow
Andrew Fastow is best known as the former Chief Financial Officer of Enron, an American energy company that collapsed in scandal in the early 2000s. He was instrumental in creating complex financial structures, which were used to hide the company's debt and inflate profits, misleading investors and regulators. When the truth about Enron's financial practices came to light, it led to one of the largest bankruptcies in U.S. history. Fastow was later charged with fraud and conspiracy, ultimately pleading guilty and serving time in prison for his role in the scandal. His case highlighted issues of corporate ethics and accountability.
