Andrew Carnegi

Andrew Carnegie was a Scottish-American industrialist and philanthropist, best known for leading the expansion of the American steel industry in the late 19th century. After emigrating from Scotland as a child, he worked his way up from a factory job to becoming one of the richest men in America. Carnegie sold his steel company, Carnegie Steel, to J.P. Morgan for a vast fortune, which he then devoted to philanthropy. He believed in the "Gospel of Wealth," advocating that wealthy individuals should use their riches to benefit society, funding libraries, schools, and cultural institutions across the United States.
