Andorran constitution
The Andorran Constitution, established in 1993, is the fundamental legal framework that defines the country's governance, rights, and institutions. It declares Andorra a parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarchy, where the Head of State is shared between the Bishop of Urgell and the President of France, but real power lies with elected representatives. The Constitution guarantees basic rights for citizens, separation of powers among the executive, legislative, and judiciary, and sets principles for justice, social policies, and economic activities. It aims to balance tradition with modern democratic standards, ensuring stability, rule of law, and respect for individual liberties.
