Andisols
Andisols are a special type of soil formed mostly from volcanic ash and materials. They are known for their high fertility, good water-holding capacity, and excellent ability to support plant growth. Because they contain volcanic minerals, they often have a dark color and are found in areas near volcanoes, such as parts of Hawaii, Japan, and Central America. These soils are valuable for agriculture due to their nutrient richness but can be sensitive to erosion and disturbance if not managed properly.
