Andes Mountain Range
The Andes Mountain Range is the longest mountain range in the world, stretching approximately 4,300 miles along the western coast of South America. It forms a natural border through countries like Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Colombia. The Andes are characterized by high peaks, including some of the tallest in the world outside of Asia, such as Aconcagua. They were formed by tectonic plate movements, creating diverse landscapes with volcanoes, high-altitude deserts, and lush valleys. The range influences climate, ecosystems, and human settlement throughout the region.
