Ancient atomists

Ancient Atomists, like Democritus and Leucippus, believed that everything in the universe is made up of tiny, indivisible particles called atoms. They thought these atoms are eternal, unchangeable, and constantly moving in a void (empty space). Changes in the world occur when atoms combine, separate, or rearrange. Their ideas were early attempts to explain nature without relying on mythology, laying the groundwork for modern science and atomic theory by suggesting that matter is fundamentally atomic and not infinitely divisible.
