Anaxagoras
Anaxagoras was an ancient Greek philosopher who proposed that everything in the universe is composed of small, fundamental parts called "seeds" or "homoeomeries." He introduced the idea of Nous, or Mind, as an intelligent force that orders the cosmos. Unlike earlier thinkers who believed in a single material substance, Anaxagoras suggested all substances contain varying amounts of these seeds, making matter infinitely divisible and complex. His ideas helped shift thinking from mythological explanations to a more natural and rational understanding of the universe.
