Anatomy of the Eye
The eye is a complex organ that allows us to see. Light enters through the cornea, the clear outer layer, and then passes through the pupil, which adjusts size to control light. The lens focuses the light onto the retina, a layer of cells that convert the light into electrical signals. These signals travel via the optic nerve to the brain, where they are interpreted as images. The eye's main parts include the cornea, iris, pupil, lens, retina, vitreous (gel-like filling), and optic nerve, all working together to provide clear vision.
