Anatomical structures of the eye

The eye’s main structures include the cornea, the clear front surface that helps focus light; the iris, the colored part controlling the size of the pupil which adjusts light entry; the pupil, the opening allowing light in; the lens, which fine-tunes focus onto the retina; and the retina, a layer of cells at the back that converts light into signals sent to the brain. Other parts include the vitreous, a gel filling the eye, and the optic nerve, which transmits visual information. Together, these structures work seamlessly to produce clear vision.
