Anasazi

The Anasazi, also known as the Ancestral Puebloans, were an ancient Native American culture that thrived in the southwestern United States from around 100 AD to 1600 AD. They are renowned for their impressive cliff dwellings, such as those at Mesa Verde, and their advanced farming techniques in arid environments. The Anasazi built complex pueblos, engaged in trade, and developed a rich cultural and spiritual life. Their decline is believed to be due to environmental challenges, drought, and social changes, leading to their movement to later southwestern communities.
