Anaphylaxis management
Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that requires quick action. If you suspect it, call emergency services immediately. Use an epinephrine auto-injector (like an EpiPen) if available, injecting it into the thigh to help reduce the reaction. Meanwhile, help the person sit or lie down comfortably, avoiding sudden movements, and loosen tight clothing. If they feel faint, elevate their legs. Do not give them food, drink, or medications unless directed by emergency personnel. Stay with them until professional help arrives, as symptoms can worsen rapidly. Afterward, they should seek urgent medical evaluation and follow-up care.
