Analog Telephony

Analog telephony refers to the traditional system of transmitting voice communication using continuous electrical signals over physical wires, such as copper cables. When you speak into a landline phone, your voice is converted into analog signals that travel through these wires to the recipient’s phone, where they are converted back into sound. This system has been in use for many decades and relies on straightforward electrical circuits. While newer digital systems are now common, analog telephony remains a reliable and straightforward method for voice communication, especially for landline phones in homes and businesses.
